Privacy notice.
This notice explains how personal information submitted through MaleHealth.co.za is handled. It should be read with any broader Medify patient privacy documentation that applies once you become a patient.
1. Who is responsible
MaleHealth is a men’s health and male aesthetics brand. Clinical services and website enquiries are handled by Dr Luhard and the authorised team at Medify. The responsible practice can be contacted at hello@malehealth.co.za, 065 559 5412, or 265 Main Street, Waterkloof, Pretoria.
2. Information collected
The website form collects your name, cellphone number, email address, preferred contact method, broad area of concern and any short message you choose to provide. Basic technical and security information, such as an IP address and submission time, may also be processed to protect the form from abuse.
Please do not submit identity numbers, detailed medical records, intimate photographs or unnecessary sensitive information through the website form.
3. Why the information is used
- To respond to your enquiry and arrange an appointment
- To direct your request to the appropriate authorised team member
- To maintain security, prevent spam and investigate misuse
- To meet legal, ethical and professional obligations
- To establish or provide healthcare if you choose to proceed as a patient
4. How the information is shared
Information is limited to Dr Luhard, authorised Medify staff and service providers that support hosting, email, security or practice administration where this is necessary. It may also be disclosed where required by law, a regulator or a valid legal process.
The public MaleHealth email address may forward messages into a managed Medify inbox. This does not expose the receiving inbox address to you. Email and hosting providers may process information in other jurisdictions under their service and security arrangements.
5. Retention
Enquiry information is kept only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose collected, security, recordkeeping and applicable legal or professional requirements. If a clinical relationship is established, relevant information may become part of the clinical record and will be retained under the requirements that apply to healthcare records.
6. Security
Reasonable administrative and technical measures are used to reduce unauthorised access, loss and misuse. No website or ordinary email system can guarantee absolute security. Avoid sending detailed health information until the practice has explained the appropriate channel.
7. Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask what personal information is held, request correction, object to certain processing or request deletion where retention is not legally required. Contact hello@malehealth.co.za with “Privacy request” in the subject line.
You may also lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator. Current regulator contact details are available through the official Information Regulator channels.
8. Cookies and analytics
This version of the website does not set advertising or analytics cookies. Essential server security logs and a short-lived session used to rate-limit the contact form may still be generated.
9. Changes
This notice may be updated when the website, contact process or legal requirements change. The current date will be shown at the top of the page.
